NELLY DEEP

Dj Nelly Deep was born to Portuguese parents in Mozambique in the 70s. Soon afterwards he comes back to his parents homeland, where he learns to live music passionately from an early age. With the African blueprint throbbing in his heart and mind, he eagers for new sounds and rhythms. In 1993 he starts his career as a Dj at the club Nenufar in Lamego. The following year he moves to the town of Vila Real and the club Andromeda., where he experiments intensively as resident Dj until March 1997.

He then moves to Porto and is invited to work as resident Dj at the brand new club Colonial (one of the prettiest clubs this city has ever had). One year later he is already working at Antonio´s in Povoa do Varzim (a club belonging to the same nightlife entertainment group as Colonial). In June 1999 he is invited by Dj Chiquinho to be part of the Pacha team in Ofir. He has since been resident at this world-renowned club (considered by the British magazine Musik one of the 20 best clubs in the world), playing along with the best Portuguese Djs and some of the best in the international arena. In spite of being a resident Dj at Pacha, he has since been frequently invited to other clubs and parties. In 2002 he joins the Pacha-futura team, starting his international career. Some labels and entrepreneurs have associated their names with Nelly Deep´s career abroad. In 2003 he gives his career a new step forward: He starts working as a producer with his great friend Steve Parker and released their first track "Deep Tribal Passion" in the Portuguese Soulfull CD. In 2007 they sign for Stereo Productions and release "Rirmo es Amor".
